Being in the service industry shouldn't mean running time cards or using punch cards. The internet makes it so easy to track and consolidate your employees times. From lawyers to computer programmers, we all need to track out time.
From what started as a way to help Jacob Cameron track how he spends his day, has grown into a world class application to track time and resources.
History:
Blue Lantern and it's clients have successfully used BLProject for over 6 years. Origionally written by company owner, Jacob Cameron in 1998 for Vectrix Corporation, where he was Director of Internet Technical Development, to track time for over 400 employees. Next revision was written in 2000 by Jacob Cameron for MultiMark communications where he was Chief Technology Officer, to track employee’s time. In 2003, when Jacob founded Blue Lantern, Inc., the first thing he did was to re-write the project tracker once again to track his employees.
For the last three years, every employee of Blue Lantern, Inc. has used the BLProject tracker to track their time, for the company to control invoicing and maintain accurate record keeping for the company. This caught the attention of Blue Lantern, Inc.’s partners, who started using BLProject to track their employees and clients.
